Retssikkerhedsfonden er almennyttig. Dens formål er at fremme viden om samt forståelse og respekt for retsstatsprincippernes betydning for den demokratiske stat. Dette skal ske blandt andet ved at støtte og inspirere til forskning og formidling, afholdelse af seminarer m.v. Fonden har ikke mulighed for at behandle individuelle klager, men modtager gerne henvendelser med oplysninger om aktuelle og mere generelle retssikkerhedsmæssige problemstillinger.

Der er i fondens regi etableret et "Forum for retssikkerhed", hvori der udveksles erfaringer vedrørende udviklinger inden for aktuelle retssikkerhedsområder. Der søges tilrettelagt en indsats på forskellige områder blandt andet ved udarbejdelse af beskrivelser af udviklingen og diskussioner om dens mulige implikationer for væsentlige retssikkerhedsspørgsmål. Såvel Forum for retssikkerhed som Retssikkerhedsfonden kan tage aktuelle emner op med politikere og myndigheder.

Here is a very fine blog with all about sheet protectors. What to look out for before making a purchase and what not to be concerned about.
It also got good ideas and suggestions for what to look out for before starting to any major filing projects. It is written by Ken at Keepfiling and he can be a little "wordy" and perhaps too detailed if you ask me but that is quite all right then nothing has been forgotten.

Removable Double Sided Glue Tape

This is pretty smart. Removable Glue Tape. It is like a little dispenser with which you can roll out a line of tape only this one is sticky on both side. So it stick to the back of a photo as an example and after a couple of seconds the photo can be attach to most surfaces just like a 3M Sticky note. On and off again and again.

Perfect for setting up a basic scrapbook page before starting to attached everything permanently or just attaching a family photo in your office cubic or at the computer monitor.

Here is something to get real excited about if you are a true Scrapbook fan and believer in us all having a chance in life or atleast a wish.
The company 3L Corp. set themselves the goal to create the worlds biggest scrapbook this in support of the Make A Wish Foundation who grant wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Organize with legal binders and pages.

I was working this weekend on organizing my papers files. Tons of old insurance papers, bank statements, tax files, rental agreements, car financing documents, etc. etc.
All odd sizes and non of them fit standard measurements. For the same reason I use to file them in hang files at my cabinet but to be honest it did not take too long and my cabinet below the pen drawer was full of documents and 50 hang files. Not the perfect place for long term storage.
Instead I when out purchased some 14 x 8-1/2 sheet protectors and matching binders.
With the use of the sheet protectors it took no time to sort the different paper work as these legal sheet protectors basically was "one size fits all" including the 14 inch tall legal documents from the rental of my old apartment, insurance documents and the purchase of my last car.
I can really recommend it. Took about 40 minutes. OK it was a big pile of paper but I was efficient and did throw out a lot of junk (hey that is what cleaning is all about).

Where to shop for scrapbook accessories.

Shopping On-line for scrapbooking accessories can be quite fun and time consuming (you properly already know all about this now that you are reading this blog). But consider this one for a moment.
Most of the search engines as Google, Yahoo, MSN etc. has a list of advertisements inserted in to the search results. Often listed to the right of the "natueral searches" or sometimes placed in blogs between the natual searches.
The advertisers pay per click so every time you click on one of these advertisements they get billed. The higher the advertisement is towards to the top the more the advertiser most likely pay for your click.
In other words the guy at the top has most likely a bigger advertisement budget than the guy at the bottom. And here is my point there are only one to pay for the advertisement and yes that is us the scrapbookers and there are only one way for the shop to get the money back and that is by charging an overall higher price (this is not counting special sales etc).
For the very same reason I believe I have been able again and again to find better deals down the list. It is more often smaller local stores (which I prefer to support anyway) and they may be located in rural areas where overhead from shop or warehouse rent etc. is less so they may be able to offer better prices. At least that is just my idea.
Also in the natual searches try to go down the list as well, sometimes a lot of pages need to get "turned" before I have found what I was looking for perhaps because the search engines as google do not understand what I am looking for or perhaps they do not find everything on the web sites.
Well I am not an engineer but I have saved at lot by shopping around and go down the list when searching for scrapbook storage and other accessories.

Scrapbooking Page Cost

When doing my scrapbooking I have always tried to keep the cost of the binders and accessories at a minimum. No doubt you can spend a million bucks and still feel that the last little accessory is missing. But have in mind what is the important part here beside for having fun when making one page after another ????
Its the memories they create and what are they created with: Photos. So the most important part for making a successful scrapbooking page is the photos. Secondly it is the creativity behind the page. Yes, a lot of exciting colorful things can be purchased at stores but a lot can be made just from news paper clippings as previous mentioned in this blog but what about clipping from old cereal boxes.
Imagine photos takes over a Sunday morning breakfast well then attached clipping from the cereal boxes. Attached a clipping of Tony the Tiger from the frosty box or the Quaker Man from Quaker Oats carton, etc. etc. You get the point.

Imagine photos of the kids playing with there lego's. Then take empty box cut out the lego pictures, logo, etc. and attach them nicely around the photos. If they already got a million legos take one of the those flat bricks that may not be needed in the future and glue it to the scrapbook page (be careful here don't ruin the kids favor lego set you will never hear the end of it).

Anyway that was just a couple of ideas. Perhaps to go and get started on a few pages and to close them off file them in good archival safe and acid free scrapbook page protectors.

Scrapbooking a great hobby

Scrapbook is a lot of fun. But one of the reasons I really like it as a hobby is that it bring out all the creativity. Not that I think I am particular creative person. I have seen many other women being much more creative and being doing a much better job at coming up with exciting layouts and using even what I would consider haft bad pictures that after being cut into shape suddenly was of great value. Pictures I would have placed in the garbage.

The love of scrapbooking has something to do with the combination of doing something creative, work with pictures and material which associate one with great vacations or family occasions.
It can take a lot of time but I have decided that I do not necessary have to place every single photo from a roll of film into a scrapbook album. Choose the best the once you love the most and then I try not to go too much into details with the design of every single scrapbook page. Yes some page will get more attention than others and some will take more time than other but something I also like the simple design. Not all scrapbook pages have to have a million pieces of nick knack attached. Simplicity of a scrapbook page sometimes bring more to a good photo than the other way around and I guess that leads me back to my first point that some scrapbookers by cutting the less than good pictures and adding a lot of embellishment they get something out of even the less than perfect pictures.
In every event it is always a satisfying feeling when the finished scrapbook pages are inserted into the page protectors It means a good job is finished and ready to be saved in the archival safe plastic page protectors.

I found this file jackes to be of great use myself. They are just great for sorting all my scrapbook photos, clips and cuts for future projects. But are almost even better at sorting all my bills for when they need to be payed. I have just written on the font of each over 1st week, 2nd week etc. in this way I just take one cover every monday and pay my bills. Easy, simple and real hard even for me to make any mistakes with. Economy Scrapbooking

I have been doing some scrapbook lately just testing to find out if it was something for me. As I a cheap by nature I decided not to start out with any classes but just use what I had available at home.
My sister had sometime ago given me a post bound 12 x 12 binder, one of those with screws that attach the two covers in the back. From previous experience from work I knew I could get some really good and cheap sheet protectors at Keepfiling so I ordered some super heavy weight 12 x 12 page protectors from Keepfiling those with extended edge as to fit the postbound binder.
Then I had some old cardboard which I cut down to 12 x 12 format and then I simply started to glue old news paper cuts on to the cardboards. As I added more and more slices of news paper (note here most of them I simply tear apart as to have this old feeling to the edge) a pattern started to occur quite hard to explain but I thought it looked great. In between I added a couple of family photos and made sure just to glue some of the paper strips over the corners also for it to look natural. At the end I had a great page that just looked awesome.
Try too keep some of the colors from the cliping consistent as only to use black and white clipping on one page and on the next use only clippings that also contain red. It looks great :o))
